The Tools I Personally Use or Highly Recommend

* Disclaimer: Please note that I’m affiliate of some of the following solutions. Although I may receive compensation if you decide to purchase one of these awesome tools, you can sleep well knowing that I NEVER (and I really mean that) promote something unless it’s cool, and I usually use it myself, too!

Landing Pages & Funnels

This service is hands down one of my absolute favorites. Whether you’re creating landing pages, thank you pages, webinar registration pages, or sales pages, it gives you complete freedom of placement in the design (it’s a true and literal drag-and-drop editor, which the designer in you will greatly appreciate); separate desktop and mobile views, allowing you can tweak your layouts at a more granular level; truly stunning and professionally predesigned templates; excellent and accurate split-testing stats (much more accurate than other platforms I’ve experienced first-hand); the ability to create “layers” (similar to Photoshop) with any elements on the page, pushing some back and bringing others forward; many 3rd-party integrations (including Zapier); and quite a number of other things. In a word, you can’t go wrong with Instapage for landing pages!

Okay, I’m a little biased on this one (as I was a management executive and Head of Support for this multimillion dollar company for 18 months), but it does rock! While the design flexibility and freedom is more limited than Instapage, if you’re looking to create full funnels, with multiple steps, all in one place, in just a few clicks, then your best bet is to check out ClickFunnels. It’s pretty freaking awesome.

Leadpages is an industry leader in the landing page space, and they’re rock solid.

Email & Marketing Automation Providers

With a tagline like “Lightweight Marketing Automation That Doesn’t Suck,” you know you have a winner here. 😉 This is my absolute favorite email provider and it’s the one I use for all of my businesses. Drip is the perfect balance between flexibility and power, on the one hand, and ease of use and intuitive design, on the other. I cannot recommend this service enough! (Make sure to check out the “Visual Workflows” option they have. Love it!)

Basically, if you need even more power and flexibility than Drip (if you do, let me know why), then ActiveCampaign is definitely my recommended go to. Either way, you can’t go wrong with this service, it’s great!

If you’re looking for ease of use, powerful “trigger > action” functionality, and a beautiful design, ConvertKit is definitely your best friend. I’ve used the service myself in the past, and I absolutely loved it. I just prefer Drip more these days. 🙂

I recommend this service for those just starting out. It’s super easy to use and you’ll be able to get up and running fast. It also has an *awesome* Campaign Sharing feature whereby you can import/export entire email sequences into/out of your account with just a few clicks. It’s really powerful stuff and one of the reasons I really love AWeber (not to mention their great deliverability!).

Membership Sites & Course Delivery

This is another one of my absolute favorites. For building out membership sites and delivering online courses and training areas, nothing on the market beats Kajabi in its overall feature set, commitment to innovation, stability, and customer support.

In a word, you can’t go wrong with Kajabi for membership sites!
